Our projects aim to work on the charged particle therapy of cancer treatment as the first attempt in the world under a hundred percent private sector.  In cooperation with Nagoya University School of Medicine, other medical institutions, the industry of this local area and local administration such as Aichi prefectural government, we will start our service on charged particle therapy of cancer treatment in 2012.

One-shot irradiation treatment without surgical operation
X-ray and gamma ray have their highest radiation dose on the surface of a human body and then gradually decrease the dose as they go deeper inside the body. Charged particle beams, however, can be controlled to reach its highest level on the exact spot where cancerous growth exists. Heavy Particle-radiotherapy effectively kills cancer cells with extremely few side effects. This is a gentle type of treatment on human body.
Heavy particle beams have effects on killing cancers, 3-5 times as powerful as X-ray, but they don't damage normal cells. They work very effectively on cancers require frequent treatment such as lung cancers, liver cancers or prostate cancers.
Defeat cancers in a short time
Depending on the patient's condition, a single irradiation is sufficient enough to destroy cancer. One-day treatment can cure disease, as well as regular treatment on their way home from work.
Nagoya Advanced Technology Medical Center is the fourth facility in Japan after National Institute of Radiological Sciences , Hyogo Ion Beam Medical Center , and Gunma University Hospital. This is also the very first private facility in the world.
