Arches of Cordoba $600
The Arches of Cordoba draws from the red and white stone arches of the Great Mosque of Cordoba, one of the most recognized architectural motifs in the Islamic world. The alternating maple and padauk staves in the bowl mirror that contrast, pale against red, set in a round bowl shape that echoes the curvature of the arches themselves. A 6-string oud tuned to Ccc (Do-Do), with a solid spruce soundboard, rosewood pegs, block ebony fingerboard, and three circular soundboard holes.
The maple-padauk combination produces a bright, articulate tone with good projection and a clear mid-range. The three circular holes add openness to the sound, giving the higher registers more presence while maintaining warmth in the lows. A responsive instrument well suited for both traditional maqam work and contemporary playing.
Includes a padded carry bag and custom INAQ rishas. Handcrafted in Lebanon. -
Ribbed Walnut $1,200
The Ribbed Walnut leaves the bowl ribs unsmoothed, preserving the contour of each individual stave. Where most ouds are sanded to a seamless curve, this model keeps its raw, tactile surface, connecting the player directly to the instrument’s construction. A 6-string oud tuned to Ccc (Do-Do), with a solid spruce soundboard, rosewood pegs, fixed bridge, and a single soundboard hole.
The unfinished rib texture paired with the walnut bowl and single-hole design produces a warm, focused tone with strong low-end presence. The French polish shellac finish on the bowl adds depth to the resonance, while the beeswax-finished soundboard keeps the highs smooth and organic. Well suited for players who value a deeper, more intimate sound.
Includes a padded carry bag and custom INAQ rishas. Handcrafted in Lebanon.
