The Classic pairs walnut and beechwood, two of the most widely used tonewoods in traditional Levantine oud making. This combination has been a staple of workshop production across the region for generations, chosen for its reliability and balanced sonic character. A 6-string oud tuned to Ccc (Do-Do), with a solid cedar soundboard, ebony pegs, fixed bridge, veneer fingerboard, and three circular soundboard holes.
The walnut-beechwood bowl produces a warm, even tone with good clarity across the registers. The cedar top adds responsiveness and a slightly darker tonal color compared to spruce, giving the instrument a softer, more expressive voice. A solid entry point for students and an honest working instrument for experienced players.
